CE Day Elective: WHAT IS IRC 1031 EXCHANGE & HOW TO APPLY IT - April 2025
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
This CE elective course, designed in compliance with Rule 58H.0402, covers the fundamentals of the IRC §1031 Exchange. Participants will learn that a 1031 Exchange—often referred to as a like-kind exchange—is a tax deferral strategy allowing investors to reinvest proceeds from the sale of an investment property into a similar property, thereby deferring capital gains taxes. The course explores the legal framework, eligibility criteria, strict timelines, and required documentation, providing practical, real-world examples to help professionals effectively apply these provisions in their transactions.
